Gotham Awards 2022 Nominations: ‘Tár,’ ‘Everything Everywhere,’ and ‘Aftersun’ Top the List
The nominations for the 2022 Gotham Awards have been revealed.
The nominations in 12 categories recognize independent/arthouse films and breakout TV from this year. The ceremony will be held at Cipriani Wall Street in Manhattan on Monday, November 28. Angelica Ross will host.
Todd Field’s Tár leads with 5 nominations for Best Feature, Best Lead Performance by Cate Blanchett, Best Supporting Performance for both Nina Hoss and Noémie Merlant, and Best Screenplay by Field. Charlotte Wells’ Aftersun comes in second with 4 nominations for Best Feature, Best Breakout Director for Wells, Best Performance for Paul Mescal, and Best Breakout Performance, for Frankie Corio. Daniels’ Everything Everywhere All At Once comes in third with 3 nominations for Best Feature, Best Lead Performance for Michelle Yeoh, and Best Supporting Performance for Ke Huy Quan.
