Telluride Film Festival 2024 Lineup: Slate Includes Sean Baker, Errol Morris, Andrea Arnold, and More

2024 Telluride Film Festival Lineup

The always epic (and, slightly esoteric in terms of attending goes…) Telluride Film Festival kicks off this Labor Day Weekend, running from August 30 through September 2. Sadly, HtN won’t be there this year but the lineup is, as always, incredibly cool.

Some films to note are among of the many festival hits and awards contenders of this year: Payal Kapadia’s All We Imagine As Light, Sean Baker’s Palme d’Or winner Anora, Andrea Arnold’s Bird, Jacques Audiard’s Emilia Pérez, Pablo Larraín’s Maria, RaMell Ross’ NYFF opener Nickel Boys, Errol Morris’ new documentary Separated, Mohammad Rasoulof’s The Seed of the Sacred Fig, and many more.

Kenneth Lonergan, this year’s festival Guest Director, serves as a collaborator in the festival’s programming decisions, bringing new ideas and overlooked films. Lonergan presents the following film selections:

  • Barry Lyndon (d. Stanley Kubrick, U.K.-U.S., 1975)
  • Doctor Zhivago (d. David Lean, U.K.-Italy-U.S., 1965)

Telluride’s 2024 Special Medallion goes to Les Films du Losange, who will represent Misericordia and have their history celebrated with the following screenings:

  • Charles, Dead or Alive (Alain Tanner, Switzerland, 1969) presented by Alfonso Cuarón
