SXSW 2024: 50 New Titles Added To The Lineup

The SXSW Film & TV Festival, which runs from March 8-16, has announced the rest of its 2024 lineup in multiple categories. Adding 50 new films to this year’s slate brings the total number of features up to 115. Among these titles are 89 World Premieres, 3 International Premieres, 6 North American Premieres, 4 U.S. Premieres, 13 Texas Premieres, and 80 Short Films.

Some of the exciting films added include Dev Patel’s directorial debut Monkey Man, Kyle Mooney’s A24 comedy Y2K, and the Sydney Sweeney-starer Immaculate, all of which will play in the Headliners section. Numerous Sundance movies have also been added to the Festival Favorites section. Among them are Kelly O’Sullivan and Alex Thompson’s tender-hearted drama Ghostlight, Jane Schoenbrun’s I Saw The TV Glow, Sean Wang’s U.S. Dramatic Audience Award winner Dìdi (弟弟), Shuchi Talati’s World Dramatic Audience Award winner Girls Will Be Girls, and Rich Peppiatt’s NEXT Audience Award winner Kneecap.

Other highly anticipated films making their world premieres at SXSW include the Nicolas Cage-headed post-apocalyptic thriller Arcadian, The Greatest Hits from writer-director Ned Benson (The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby), Timestalker from writer-director-actor Alice Lowe (Prevenge), and the Mary Louise Parker/Ayo Edebiri-starrer Omni Loop.
