THE SUBSTANCE Teaser Trailer: Demi Moore & Margaret Qualley Search for Everlasting Youth

Demi Moore goes to quite the lengths to find everlasting beauty in a new jaw-dropping body horror from writer-director Coralie Fargeat (2018’s Revenge). The Substance, one of the most buzzed-about films at this year’s Cannes (where it picked up Best Screenplay), stars Moore as a fading celebrity who uses a black-market drug that creates (in quite bloody fashion) a younger version of herself (Margaret Qualley). Dennis Quaid also stars.

Ahead of its September 20 release, MUBI has just released a wild first teaser trailer.

As the cryptic official synopsis reads:
