THE ROOM NEXT DOOR Teaser Trailer: Tilda Swinton & Julianne Moore Star In Almodóvar’s First English-Language Feature
The world premiere of Pedro Almodóvar’s first English-language feature is right around the corner! The Room Next Door, starring Julianne Moore and Tilda Swinton, will have its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival before heading to TIFF and NYFF. Almodóvar adapts Sigrid Nunez’s novel “What Are You Going Through,” which centers on two old friends (Moore and Swinton) who reunite after losing touch for years. John Turturro and Alessandro Nivola also star. Ahead of the film’s festival premieres and December release, a new teaser trailer has arrived from Sony Pictures Classics.
Here’s the official synopsis:
Ingrid (Julianne Moore) and Martha (Tilda Swinton) were close friends in their youth, when they worked together at the same magazine. Ingrid went on to become an autofiction novelist while Martha became a war reporter, and they were separated by the circumstances of life. After years of being out of touch, they meet again in an extreme but strangely sweet situation.
The Room Next Door opens in NY & LA on December 20, before expanding nationwide. Check out the teaser trailer and poster below.
