LOVE LIES BLEEDING Trailer: Kristen Stewart Stars In Rose Glass’ Queer Romance Thriller
As the 40th Sundance Film Festival is around the corner, we have a sneak peek of one of the most anticipated titles in their lineup. Rose Glass follows up on her psychological thriller Saint Maud with a queer romance full of love and violence. Love Lies Bleeding stars Kristen Stewart as a gym manager with connections to organized crime who falls hard for a new-to-town bodybuilder (Katy O’Brian). It is billed as an “off-the-wall, rambunctious lesbian love story” set in a suburban small town that has a “heightened Americana sensibility.” The film also stars Ed Harris, Dave Franco, Jena Malone, and Anna Baryshnikov.
Glass co-wrote the script with Weronika Tofilska. It is a co-production between A24 and Film4. The official trailer has arrived ahead of its Sundance premiere in January, where Stewart will also be honored with the Visionary Award during the Opening Night gala.
Here’s the official synopsis:
Reclusive gym manager Lou falls hard for Jackie, an ambitious bodybuilder headed through town to Las Vegas in pursuit of her dream. But their love ignites violence, pulling them deep into the web of Lou’s criminal family.
Love Lies Bleeding will premiere at Sundance on January 20 before rolling out in theaters March 8. See the trailer and poster below.
