WATCH: Colin Burgess Strikes the Wrong Chord in Exclusive Clip for ‘Free Time’

FREE TIME

Colin Burgess inhabits the self-centered Drew in Ryan Martin Brown’s Free Time, a rambunctious comedy that builds to a generational fever. Drew decides to quit his job and embrace life, but when a video of him chewing out his old company goes viral, he finds himself chosen as the new messiah of the ‘Great Resignation’.

Shot in only 10 days on the streets of New York City, Brown proves how much you can achieve on a shoestring budget. Free Time is exactly the type of ambitious independent filmmaking we champion at Hammer to Nail.

In the exclusive clip below, Drew finds himself torn between hooking up with a pretty girl (Jessie Pinnick) and showing her his music in a feeble attempt to get signed by her brother’s label.

Free Time opens at the Quad Cinema this week in NYC and will open at the Landmark Westwood in LA on March 29. Chicago, Seattle, and more theatrical bookings are planned, check out the full list on the Cartilage Films website.
