Cannes Film Festival 2022 Lineup: Cronenberg, Denis, Reichardt, and more…

It’s another year on the Croisette. The 2022 Cannes Film Festival will take place from May 17 to 28. The lineup was announced dark and early (at the very least) in U.S. time.

Featuring new work in-competition by David Cronenberg, Claire Denis, James Gray, Kelly Reichardt, Park Chan-Wook, and past Palme D’or winners The Dardenne Brothers, Christian Mungiu, Ruben Ostlund, and Hirokazu Kore-eda, it is quite an exciting slate. Despite rumors, there’s sadly no mention of David Lynch (as of yet, at the very least). But hey, at least you’ve got Baz Luhrmann’s ElvisTop Gun: Maverick, and George Miller’s Three Thousand Years of Longing playing out-of-competition.
