THE WRONG GIRLS Trailer: Kristen Stewart & Alia Shawkat Lead Wild Stoner Odyssey
The stoner comedy is alive and well! While the legalization of marijuana continues to be a debated topic, writer-director Dylan Meyer’s raunchy comedy The Wrong Girls emphasizes its hilarious side effects that make the subgenre as legendary as it is. It stars the unlikely duo of Kristen Stewart and Alia Shawkat as best friends and roommates whose bong-ripping antics pull them down a rabbit hole of mistaken identity, conspiracies, and, of course, bad trips.
The juggernaut cast also includes LaKeith Stanfield, Kate McKinnon, Geena Davis, Tony Hale, Zach Fox, Seth Rogen (also a producer), and Kumail Nanjiani, the latter two as the voices of the duo’s cats. Ahead of its release in theaters on August 14, Neon has now released the wild official trailer.
As the official synopsis reads:
Two codependent best friends living paycheck to paycheck and bong rip to bong rip get caught in a case of mistaken identity that throws their lives into chaos.
