LATE NIGHT WITH THE DEVIL Trailer: David Dastmalchian Brings Terror To ’70s Late Night Cable
People sure love a good found-footage horror film! The premise for Late Night With the Devil is simple, but just as nail-biting and terrifying. A live television broadcast in 1977 goes horribly wrong, unleashing evil into the nation’s living rooms. Written and directed by sibling duo Cameron and Colin Cairns, it had its world premiere at last year’s SXSW. It stars David Dastmalchian (The Suicide Squad, Dune) as a late-night talk show planning an ambitious Halloween special that brings forth chaos and terror among its audience and viewers. It also stars Laura Gordon, Ian Bliss, Fayssal Bazzi, Ingrid Torelli, Rhys Auteri, Josh Quong Tart, and Georgina Haig. IFC Films has just released a new bone-chilling trailer ahead of its theatrical release later this month.
Here’s the official synopsis:
October 31, 1977. Jack Delroy’s syndicated talk show ‘Night Owls’ has long been a trusted companion to insomniacs around the country, but a year on from the tragic death of Jack’s wife, ratings have plummeted. Desperate to turn his fortunes around, Jack plans a Halloween special like no other, unaware he is about to unleash evil into the living rooms of America. Late Night With The Devil is the recently rediscovered recording of what went to air that fateful night.
Late Night With the Devil opens in theaters March 22 before streaming on Shudder April 19. Check out the trailer below.
