GOOD BOY Trailer: A Canine Sniffs Out Something Sinister in SXSW Horror Movie

Get ready for a new face of horror… in the form of Indy the Dog!
He is the star of Good Boy, directed by his owner Ben Leonberg in his feature debut. The entire movie revolves around Indy (starring as himself) as he discovers something supernatural in his new home. It also stars Shane Jensen, Arielle Friedman, and indie horror icon Larry Fessenden. Leonberg co-produces with his partner (and Indy’s co-owner) Kari Fischer and co-wrote the script with Alex Cannon. It both terrified and amazed audiences at its world premiere at SXSW, where Indy won the special Howl of Fame award. Ahead of its release in theaters on October 3, the official trailer has now arrived from IFC and Shudder.
Here’s the official trailer:
Our canine hero, Indy, finds himself on a new adventure with his human owner—and best friend—Todd, leaving city life for a long-vacant family home in the country. From the start, two things are abundantly clear: Indy is wary of the creepy old house, and his affection for Todd is unwavering. After moving in, Indy is immediately vexed by empty corners, tracks an invisible presence only he can see, perceives phantasmagoric warnings from a long-dead dog, and is haunted by visions of the previous occupant’s grim death. When Todd begins succumbing to the dark forces swirling around the house, Indy must battle a malevolence intent on dragging his beloved Todd into the afterlife.
