LONGLEGS Teaser Trailer: Maika Monroe Hunts Nic Cage in Oz Perkins’ Serial Killer Horror Movie

“You’ve got the teeth of the hydra upon you.” Leave it to Oz Perkins and NEON to bring us another nightmare worth anticipating with the former’s newest horror film, Longlegs. It stars It Follows scream queen Maika Monroe as an FBI Agent investigating an unsolved serial killer case and finds a personal connection to the killer, possibly played by Nicolas Cage (also a producer). Perkins, the son of Psycho star Anthony Perkins, is the filmmaker behind The Blackcoat’s Daughter and I Am The Pretty Things That Lives In This House. A new teaser trailer has been released ahead of its July 12 release.

Regarding the film, Cage himself said, “I play, I almost call him like a possessed Geppetto… he makes these dolls, and the dolls infiltrate families and get the families to do terrible things. It’s a horror film. And [Perkins] was, I think telling a story, in some ways, about his mother, and I played Longlegs as a very androgynous character, and I’m channeling my mom.”
