JAY KELLY Trailer: George Clooney & Adam Sandler Embark on an Introspective European Journey in Noah Baumbach’s Latest

Following the dysfunctional family comedy The Meyerowitz Stories, the Oscar-winning Marriage Story, and the more ambitious White Noise, Noah Baumbach is reteaming with Netflix once again for a more introspective comedy. Jay Kelly stars George Clooney as the titular character, a movie star in his 60s going through a life and career crisis as he journeys to a film festival through Europe with his manager (Adam Sandler). The rest of the phenomenal, packed cast includes Laura Dern, Billy Crudup, Riley Keough, Grace Edwards, Stacy Keach, Jim Boradbent, Patrick Wilson, Eve Hewson, Emily Mortimer, Isla Fisher, Alba Rohrwacher, Josh Hamilton, Lars Eidinger, Lenny Henry, Nicôle Lecky, Thaddea Graham, and Greta Gerwig.
Baumbach co-wrote the film with Emily Mortimer in her feature screenwriting debut, whom he met on the set of White Noise, which also starred her kids, Sam and May Nivola. Linus Sandgren (La La Land; Saltburn) serves as the cinematographer, with Nicholas Britell (Moonlight; Succession) composing the score. It will premiere in competition at the Venice Film Festival and was just announced as part of the NYFF63 Main Slate lineup. Jay Kelly will roll out in select theaters on November 14, before streaming on Netflix on December 5.
