BUGONIA Teaser: Jesse Plemons Abducts Emma Stone in Yorgos Lanthimos’ Alien Satire

Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons in BUGONIA

With the fall movie season not too far down the line, the latest collaboration between Emma Stone and Yorgos Lanthimos is one to get excited over. Bugonia is an English-language remake of the 2003 South Korean film Save the Green Planet!, which Lanthimos directs from a script by Will Tracy (The Menu). It stars Stone as a CEO who is kidnapped by a beekeeping conspiracy theorist (her Kinds of Kindness co-star Jesse Plemons) who believes that she is an alien. The film reunites Lanthimos with cinematographer Robbie Ryan, production designer James Price, and composer Jerskin Fendrix. Focus Features will release it in select theaters on October 24 and nationwide October 31. A first teaser has been released for the dark satire, which also stars Alicia Silverstone, Aidan Delbis, and Stavros Halkias.

Here’s the brief synopsis:

Two conspiracy-obsessed young men kidnap the high-powered CEO of a major company, convinced that she is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth.
