Crowdfunding has truly taken off as a viable option for filmmakers, and try as we might to stay on top of sharing, retweeting and writing about various projects, we often miss more projects than we are able to promote. To combat this, we’ve decided to step back from gatekeeping the process and let the crowdfunding campaign managers add their projects direct to us, as opposed to waiting for us to find them. To that end, we’ve come up with a widget to run on the frontpage of HammerToNail.com that will, on each page load, randomly show a different crowdfunding project during its campaign. Consider it advertising for crowdfunding.
How do you get your project into rotation on the widget? Simple, fill out the form below and submit it, along with a fee of $25, and we’ll add your campaign into rotation within 24-48 hrs.
Now, you’re probably thinking, “Fee!?! I’m trying to raise money, not spend it!” We understand that, which is why the fee is only $25. See, Hammer to Nail is almost entirely funded by advertising, and if we’re charging other advertisers for space on the site, we’ve got to charge something here. In the case of crowdfunding projects, $25 seems not only fair as far as advertising goes, it’s also an amount we feel that most crowdfunding campaigns can recoup quickly with the amount of exposure our site can give (it is also the average amount donated to most campaigns, thus advertising with us is equal to about one average donation).
And that one-time $25 fee keeps your campaign in the rotation until your campaign’s deadline; if you’ve got a month left when you submit, then you’ve got all that time in rotation on the site for only $25. From an advertising standpoint, compared to other web advertising rates out there, this isn’t very much at all.
This service is open to you to use as often or as little as you’d like. The power is in YOUR hands. Interested? Fill out the form below and start advertising your Crowdfunding Campaign today! If you have any problems with submitting via this form, or any questions, contact us.
The fine print: Ads share equal space with other ads booked in that size/duration/space/type. Ads change with each page load/impression/hit. We reserve the right to refuse any advertising that we deem as inappropriate. Not all crowdfunding campaigns in active rotation are paid advertising; we reserve the right to add and promote campaigns free-of-charge on a case-by-case basis.
