I especially love the idea of time ticking inexorably onwards, despite any wishes we might have that it may stop and allow us to settle down for a while. I guess you could probably say that “Up” also had a certain preoccupation with time’s unending march, as did Wall-E. Maybe as Pixar grows up, it’s starting to have a bit of a latter-life crisis.
